How to create Virtual Machine On Hyper-V
Server 2016 R2
Steps to create Virtual machine on Hyper-V
01.Open Hyper-V Manager

02.On Hyper-V Manager, click on “Virtual Switch Manager..” to create a new virtual switch.  03.Click on Create Virtual Switch. In this scenario, we have selected the External & Internal.

06. To create Virtual machine on Hyper-V Manager. Click on Virtual Machine to
create a new virtual machine.
07.To create Virtual machine in Hyper-V server 2016 R2, on "Specify Name and
Location" give the name of the virtual machine.Windows_server_2016 and
click on next.
08.To create Virtual machine in Hyper-V server 2016 R2 on "Specify Generation",
we have selected the Generation 2 and click on next.
09.On "Assign Memory" console,Specify the amount of RAM in 1024 MB to allocate to
this virtual machine. If we check "Use Dynamic Memory for his virtual machine"
then virtual machine uses the RAM as per its requirement From the physical server
click on next.
10.On "Configure Networking", Select a virtual switch from the available virtual
switch in the drop-down menu of connection.Select Internal SW click on next .
11.On "Create Virtual Hard Disk" and verify the name ,Location and size of the
hard disk . click on next to continue.
12.On "Installation Option", select "Install an operating system from a bootable
image file" we will install the OS in the virtual machine through an ISO file
and specified the location . click next to continue.
13.On "Completeting the New Virtual Machine Wizard", we can verify all the
steps which we selected on previous . Click on finish to create the virtual
machine and to close this wizard.
14.On "Hyper-V Manager", under Virtual Machine we can see that
"Windows_server_2016" is listed. Right click on Windows_server_2016
then click on "Connect".
15. Start to installing the server
